The Government Ayurveda College, Tripunithura is among the oldest ayurveda colleges. The institute was set up in 1929 and affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences. Selection Criteria:

The admission for UG and PG courses at Government Ayurveda College is based on the entrance exam conducted by Commissioner Common entrance Examination Kerala.

The selection of students for PG diploma and certification courses is either on a first come first serve basis or exam is conducted by the Directorate of Ayurveda Medical Education, Tiruvanthpuram.
