About Sriram College of Arts and Science

Sriram College of Arts & Science, Tamil Nadu was established in the year 1998. It is affiliated with the University of Madras and approved by AICTE and the Government of Tamil Nadu. It is located in Perumalpattu, near the railway station of Veppampattu.

Candidates who want to apply for the courses in the Sriram College of Arts & Science may follow the below steps for the admission process:

The Application form is accepted through Online mode.
Candidates would need to register themselves online on the official website of the college.
Applicants should fill in the all necessary details like personal details, educational details & other details very carefully.
Once the candidates have filled the application form for the desired course, they must pay the application fees (UG- 250 INR & PG- 350 INR)through the online mode of payment.

SCAS Chennai Scholarships

For Govt of Tamil Nadu: SC/ST Students can avail of scholarships awarded by the State/Central Government to pursue the UG/PG courses whose parent income does not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs.
Sriram Scholarship Fund: With a corpus fund of Rs. 5 Crores, the Sriram Educational Trust has set up a "SriramScholarship Fund" to provide Financial assistance to the needy deserving Sriram Educational Institutions Students. Under this scholarship, Rs. 40 Lakhs awarded annually to the Sriram College of Arts & Science for the following category of students:
- With a high cumulative grade, meritorious & academically strong (on merit basis).
- Meritorious & economically poor.
- Very poor but average in academics.

SCAS Chennai Facilities

Auditorium: The college has a large indoor auditorium with a professional acoustic system and a seating capacity of around 12,00 people. This auditorium is extremely proud to host many National Symposia & Conferences.
Library: It has a large collection of books, reference materials to meet the academic & research needs of students & faculty.
Sports: We have facilities for indoor games such as Chess, Carrom, Table-tennis, Badminton And Outdoor games like Football, Hockey, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Cricket & Basketball.
Banking: City Union Bank has opened an extension counter on campus.
Hostel: The college has fully furnished separate hostels for boys & girls. The boy's hostel has a capacity for 250 students and the girl's hostel has a capacity for 150 students. Both hostels are facilitated by well-equipped gyms.
Laboratories: Computer Lab, Maths Lab are there in the college.
Mentoring & Counselling Centre: Each teaching staff attached to 15 students and shall be responsible for academic advice and shall also monitor the attendance and academic progress of the students. They also maintain contact with the students' parents. Counselors help to solve and avoid potential problems and also help students to make constructive changes.
