Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (SRTMUN) is one of the leading universities in Maharashtra. It is approved by UGC & accredited with Grade “B++” by NAAC. SRTMUN affiliated colleges and campus schools offer 146 top courses at UG, PG, and Research level in Science & Technology, Humanities, Commerce & Management, and Interdisciplinary studies. The university also grants admission in various Diploma and Certification courses. SRTMUN Admission to these courses is either merit or entrance-based.

SRTMUN has 4 schools on campus, 4 schools on a sub-campus, academic & research centers and Women's Study Centre at the main campus. SRTMUN Admission Process

Candidates seeking admission to such courses must apply online for admission through the official website of the college. Payment for the application can be submitted in online mode only. Necessary steps to apply online are as mentioned below:

  • Visit the official website of SRTMUN @ http://www.srtmun.ac.in/
  • Click on the “Apply Online for PG-Admission” link.
  • Register profile on the portal.
  • Upload photo and signature.
  • Select course.
  • Pay your PG-CET Registration fees through debit/ credit card (Master/ Visa/ Rupay) and Net banking/ UPI
  • Take print-out of application form for reference no need to submit at University.
  • Admit cards will be given on the student's login.

Documents Required :

Candidates shall upload the following documents with the application:

  • Photo-Copy of the statement of marks of the qualifying examination passed, if applicable
  • Photo-Copy of the caste certificate in case of Reserved category candidates (if applicable)
  • Photo-Copy of the Non-creamy layer certificate in case of Reserved category (OBC/ DTNT/ SBC/ EWS/ SEBC/ Women) candidates (if applicable)
  • Photo-Copy of the Medical certificate issued by the Civil Surgeon in case of ‘Person with disabilities (P.H)’ candidates (if applicable)
  • Candidates are not required to submit a printout of the based on application/ documents to the University after the online submission of the application. However, these documents in the original have to be submitted to the respective Department at the time of admission.

SRTMUN Scholarships

SRTMUN provides several scholarship schemes to aid the students belonging to economically weaker sections. The scholarships are offered by various organizations under different categories. The university provides scholarships namely Student Welfare Assistance Scheme (SWAS) to provide financial support to more than 500 students amounting to more than 14,00,000 rupees. SRTMUN Facilities

Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (SRTMUN) provides the following facilities to cater to the needs of the students:

  • IT Infrastructure: A total of 6 workstations are available in the university out of which 2 are connected to the Internet. Apart from this, 1 Server, 6 Printers, 2 Scanner + 2 Barcode Scanner, 2 Webcam & 1 Fax machine are also available.
  • Library: The university provides a well-resourced library with more than 4,100 books of various disciplines, journals, magazines, newspapers, sports issues, and competitive examination-oriented periodicals, digital resources. The library consists of 7 fully computerized sections with an Internet facility for registered members, stack room(s), reference room, reading halls, counters, Asst. Librarian’s cabin, Internet Lab, office, and WCs. 
  • Hostel: The university provides hostel facilities to both boys and girls students with all basic facilities like water coolers & filters, solar water heaters, electrical geysers, T.V. sets, etc. There are 3 boys’ hostels with 212 rooms with an intake capacity of 300 students and 4 hostels are available for girls students with 260 rooms with an intake capacity of 344. The rooms are well furnished, ventilated, and well structured with fans, cots, tables, chairs, cupboards, tube lights, dust-bins, door-mats, etc. 
  • Health Centre: The university has a health center for students and employees of this university for better health and prevention of diseases. The center provides free counseling & consultation to promote the mental, physical & social well-being of students, research scholars, teachers, non-teaching staff, and their dependents of this university.

Ans. Post Graduate Certificate Course in Women’s Studies (PGCCWS) is a 1-year course focusing on women issues and opportunities in Indian society. Ques. How are the hostels of SRTMUN?

Ans. University provides good hostel facilities to non-local students. Boys’ hostel has 212 rooms and Girls’ hostel has 260 rooms respectively which are ventilated and well furnished with fans, cots, tables, chairs, cupboards, tube lights, dust-bins, and door-mats, etc. The hostels are well equipped with all basic facilities like water coolers & filters, solar water heaters, electrical geysers, T.V. sets, etc. The admission to the hostel is strictly given on a merit basis to UG, PG, and Research scholars from all schools on the campus on a demand and supply basis. Students profile is maintained by the hostel office. There is an ‘Earn and Learn Scheme’ run for economically backward students in the hostels. Ques. How are the placements of SRTMUN?

Ans. SRTMUN has a placement unit at the sub-center to coordinate the project work and placement activities of the students under a coordinator. The placement cell is assisted by other senior faculties of the schools. Industrial houses, Firms, NGOs, Academic/ Research institutions, and other privately recognized organizations are invited to interact with the students for selection, training, and recruitment. The students are guided to prepare their profiles for such activity. Counseling and assessment of students are scientifically conducted on a continuous basis by experts in relevant fields. The assessment records are maintained to keep track of the progress made by the students. Ques. What is the SWAS Scheme?

Ans. To provide support to target students of SRTMUN for tuition fees, living expenses, and essential stationery the university initiated Student Welfare Assistance Scheme (SWAS) in 2015. With this scheme amounting to more than 14,00,000 rupees, more than 500 students are benefited. This large amount has been proposed by voluntary contributions made by university staff and the public.

Ans. Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University is in Nanded. You can reach up to the city by air or train. Nanded is connected by Air service to Mumbai, Delhi, and Nagpur. The city has a daily flight service to Mumbai, Delhi, and Nagpur. The nearest international airport to Nanded is in Hyderabad.

If you wish to travel by train, the available trains are Sachkhand Express and Sriganganagar Express connecting Nanded to Delhi and Punjab. Devagiri Express and Nandigram Express connecting Nanded to Mumbai.

Ans. Currently, the Distance Education department of the SRTMUN is running Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs like B.A., B. Com, and BBA in a semester pattern as per the University Syllabus and examination pattern. SRTMUN DDE also offers 12 postgraduate courses like MA Marathi, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Urdu, Political Sciences, History, Sociology, Public Administration, Economics, and Master of Commerce in External Mode under an annual pattern. From the last 5 years, the growth in the registered students is tremendous. Last year nearly 4000 students were admitted for the postgraduate courses run by the distance department.

For this purpose, there is a separate International Student’s Centre whereby the university has to date given admission to students from 15 different countries, i.e., Afghanistan, Congo, Djibouti, Iraq, Italy, Kenya, Libya, Qatar, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tuvalu, Vietnam, Yemen, and Zambia.
