University of Kota (UOK) or Kota University was established in the year 2003 by the Government of Rajasthan. It offers a number of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses under a plethora of specializations. The varsity is popularly known for its MBA, B.Sc., M.Sc., MCA, LLM, M.Tech, B.Pharma, etc.

Admissions to the MBA, M.Tech, and MCA courses are based on CMAT, GATE, and RMCAAP (Rajasthan Master In Computer Applications Admission Test) respectively. While for M.Sc. and LLM, UOK conducts an entrance examination for admission. The varsity considers candidates marks in their qualifying examination for admission to B.Sc. and B.Pharma courses.
