About V.S.P.M.S. College of Physiotherapy

VSPMS College of Physiotherapy was established in 1999 by VSPM Academy of Higher Education. Accredited by NAAC, the college offers Physiotherapy courses at the UG, PG and the Doctoral level. At present the college has an intake of 60 undergraduate as well as 21 postgraduate students per year.

VSPMS houses 17 MUHS approved teaching staff and well-equipped Kinesiotherapy, Electrotherapy, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Neurosciences Physiotherapy, Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy and Community Physiotherapy Labs. The placement cell at the college provides various job opportunities to students. VSPM’s College of Physiotherapy is the only Physiotherapy College in Vidarbha region which is running the PhD course with 3 registered scholars.
The institute serves to provide specialized clinical facilities like Adult and Pediatric Neuro-rehabilitation Spine Speciality Clinics, Shoulder Speciality Clinics, Knee Speciality Clinics, Women’s health Clinics, Geriatrics Fitness Clinics and Community Based Rehabilitation.
The Physiotherapy College has peripheral outreach centres at Wadi, Jaitala and Katol, Nagpur, and in-house Physiotherapy service is provided for Geriatrics community at Panchwati and Matoshree (Adasa) and Rehabilitation for differently abled children at District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC), Nagpur.
VSPMS COP believes in clinical and academic excellence as well as personal mentoring of students to prepare them to achieve great heights in becoming skillful clinicians and ideal professionals in future to serve humanity.

The VSPM’s College of Physiotherapy offers a large number of facilities to students for their comfort. Some of the prominent ones are given below:

Hostel: There are a total of nine hostels in the college campus. There are separate boys and girls hostels for undergraduate students. There is a common hostel for girls and boys doing post-graduation. The hostels have provision for accommodation for students who come from different parts of the country. The hostel has dining halls, common room, etc. The mess provides breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Library: The VSPMS library is full of standard textbooks which are related to the course but also opens doors for lateral thinking.
