BLDE Association's Commerce, BHS Arts & TGP Science College Jamkhandi

The B.L.D.E. Association Commerce, B.H.S. Arts and T.G.P. Science College was established at Jamkhandi in 1963 and is housed with large infrastructural buildings. The College is affiliated with the Karnataka University, Dharwad. The name of the college is on the names of the donars under whom the college infrastructural work was started. Initially Started with  just 200 students in the beginning, the strength has now reached over 2900.

The college has been catering education in three different faculties namely Arts, Science and Commerce at  UG level and P.G.D.C.A. at PG level.  The interesting fact about the college is that the college has already celebrated its silver jubilee during 1990-91 and now is moving towards its golden jubilee. There are well-equipped laboratories and library with large number of books. The college is giving the rank holders in academic point of view each year. About 46 students of the college have secured ranks at the University level till this academic year 2006-07.

Facilities :

Library :

The Library is open for the students in the historically famous “Darbar Hall” in the campus. There are more than 45,000. The college library provides various News papers, periodicals and journals in different languages.

Multy-Gym :

The college provides the facility of gym with all the modern equipment to boys and girls on the time division basis. A lady coach is available for the supervision of  the health fitness of girls. General public can also avail this facility who fulfills the basic eligibility.

Swimming Pool :

A recently constructed swimming pool is being used by student of the college and public of Jamkhandi.

Hostel :

Separate hostel facilities are provided to the male and female students on the basis of distance of their house from the college campus. 90 students who are from outside the city will be given accommodation in boys hostel. 150 girls will be accommodated in the ladies hostel.
