The admission criteria at Chandil Polytechnic is via a score/ ranking secured in a Entrance exam namely, Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (PECE) conducted by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (J.C.E.C.E.B), Ranchi Jharkhand. 

• The minimum qualification needed is 10th / Matric pass. Additionally, the students with ITI and +2 with mathematics/ ISC pass or PCM 12th pass/ +2 Vocational Course pass students can get direct admission in 2nd year or else admission will be to first year alone.
• The PECE Yest is mandatory for all the students who wish to get admission through counseling Admission Procedure. 
• PECE is conducted by J.C.E.C.E.B in the month of April / May every year, for screening out candidates for admission in various diploma courses being run by the institutions affiliated to the board. 
• Few seats in the management quota are also available which might consider the score secured by the candidates in the qualifying exam/ degree. The admission process is managed and monitored by the Admission Cell of the Chandil Polytechnic college itself. 
• The application proceedings are done online.

• The admission form is available on its main website in the admissions section. 
• The students need to download the form and take a printout of it. 
• The information is needed to be filled in appropriately like the personal details of the candidate and the course they want to apply for, marks scored in the previous examinations, and their qualifications. 
• Submit the form to the institution directly or through the post.
