College of Engineering Kallooppara (CEK) was established in 1999 by the Government of Kerala and supported by the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD). The 25-acre campus provides eco-friendly and a peaceful environment conducive to learning. The basic academic goal of the Institution is to offer premier education with an eye on the modern developments in Electronics and Information Technology. The College of Engineering Kallooppara offers graduate programs (B. Tech) and postgraduate (M. Tech) programs in the field of engineering. The institution is recognized by AICTE and is affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. The college secured 2nd position in pass percentage of Cochin University Science & Technology B. Tech 2016.

CEK Admissions

The seat allocation in every course is done on the basis of performance in KEAM/LET test by a candidate.

• Admission in B.Tech and B. Tech Lateral is done through KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical)Test and B. Tech Lateral Entry Entrance Examination (LET) respectively.
• For M. Tech admission, BE or B. Tech degree from a recognized university is required to be eligible. Admission is done through a valid score in GATE.

CEK Scholarships

The central, AICTE and state schemes for scholarship gives the deserving students various opportunities for enrolment in the program. 50% of the undergraduate seats are allocated through merit quota which subsidizes the fee for the candidate on the basis of his entrance exam performance. The low-Income group candidates are provided with financial assistance through Scholarships of the state and centre. Fees exemption are available for students with reservation and other government concessions with no particular scholarship from the institution as it is a Government controlled Self Financing Institution.

The National Scholarship Portal of Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India is responsible for the distribution of scholarship to the candidates on behalf of the central government.

CEK Facilities

• Library

The Library holds books on subjects like Science & Technology, Engineering, Management, Technical Communication, Humanities and Literature with internet support. Plus, there are separate Department Libraries which have concentrated collections on each subject and are accessible to the students and staff of respective departments. It is linked with the Digital Library of AICTE-INDEST consortium.

• Labs & Workshops

CEK includes Computer Lab, Electronics Lab, Electrical Lab and Mechanical Lab which are well maintained. The labs prepare the students to deal with modern technologies through regular lab sessions under the supervision of highly qualified Technical staff.

• Transportation

The college has its own transportation facilities to major areas surrounding the campus. Besides this, the college is also accessible via Public transport.

• Hostel

The college provides accommodation for both Boys and Girls furnished with all the necessary amenities. Being in Rural area, the hostel enjoys pollution free and non-political environment.

• Faculty

The faculty is talented and young and full of enthusiasm who really take care of the needs of the students. Apart from these branches of engineering, the students are trained in various personality development programs, like personality development, spoken English, communication skills. 

CEK Kallooppara Placements

The Placement Unit is one of the most efficient and active departments in the college. The main motive of CGPU is to recruit each student of the college to reputed companies and industries. The Career Guidance and Placement Unit (CGPU) conducts periodic meetings, Group Discussions, mock interviews, aptitude tests that make the students of CEK well-informed and distinguishes them from other people in a crowd so that they have better future prospects.
