Deshbandhu College for Girls Facilities
- Library: The college being old, has a well-built library. The library is a big attraction to college. The library has more than 2000 books and new books are added every year. The books include journals, Handbooks, Novels, Encyclopedias, and yearbooks. Also, the library has a special collection of books on Women’s studies. In addition to the Central Library, each Honours department has a separate department library.
- Sports: The college hosts many sports events, The institute also motivates its students to take part in various sports meets. This showcases the abilities of students other than academics. Annual sports events are also held in the college. The distribution of prizes and certificates is organized by the college.
- Clubs: The college provides opportunities for students to join various clubs. The students can select clubs on the basis of their interest and talent. Debating Club, Drama Club, ECO Club, Film Club, Photography Club are available that host various functions on campus.
- Hostel: The college has a well-built hostel. The hostels of the institute are built by the Grant from UGC. Each room in the hostel can accommodate up to 4 students. The hostel has a 24-hour water supply.
- Laboratories: The college has 2 computer labs which have more than 30 computers. Other than this, there is also a separate lab for the students of the department of geography. A lab of Environmental studies is also being set up.
- (National Cadet Corps)NCC: The college has its own cadet unit. The unit has a total of 70 cadets. The college has participated in many camps. The students have also won medals in the recently held Bilaspur camp. NCC helps students to develop discipline, mental strength, and physical strength.
- (National Service Scheme) NSS-: The NSS teaches students “Not Me But You”. The NSS was formed so that students can offer services while they are studying. On 24th September, every year NSS day is celebrated. The total of NSS volunteers in college are 100.
