About Forest College and Research Institute - [FCRI]

The Forest College and Research Institute (FCRI) is located in Mettupalayam in the surroundings of the Jakanari Reserve Forest which is 40 kilometers north of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University main campus. It is situated over an area of 200 hectares at the foothills of the Nilgiris. The main aim of the college is to impart education in the field of forestry and produce forest administrators and self -sustainable entrepreneurs. The atmosphere for the students is also exceptional and hence betters the level of studies and education at the college.

The admissions to UG programmes are given on the basis of ranks obtained by the students in the qualifying examinations.
For masters programmes, the students are selected on the basis of merit list, prepared on the basis of the academic performance of the students in the graduation.
