Government Polytechnic Nayagarh Courses

Govt. Polytechnic Nayagarh offers three diploma courses in engineering. The course details are as follows:

Government Polytechnic Nayagarh Admission

The application for admission is conducted online by the Directorate of Technical Education & Training (DTE & T), Odisha. Students can acquire admission either to 1st year of the diploma course or into direct 2nd year of the diploma course.

How to Apply?

Apply online on the website of DTE &T, Odisha

Government Polytechnic Nayagarh Scholarship

There are several modes of financial assistance available to students. These are granted based on income/ merit -

Merit-cum-poverty scholarships for 10% of students in every discipline in every Govt. institute
Financial assistance to complete the study, if the parents/ financial guardian of the student dies during the study period
One time scholarship of INR 6000 to eligible Topper students in each semester examination
Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme for admission to 5% supernumerary seats in all institutes for the sons and daughters of parents whose annual income from all sources is less than INR 8 Lakh or the amount fixed by Govt. from time to time
National Scholarship/ Junior Scholarship basing on HSC Marks
Financial Assistance under “Vidyarthi Surakshya” group insurance scheme

Government Polytechnic Nayagarh Facilities

The following facilities cater to both students and faculties -

Library: The institute’s library has a collection of more than 3000 books, accessibility to the internet, e-resources, e-journals in the field of technical education. Students are also provided with all textbooks prescribed in their syllabus each semester
Hostel: Govt. Polytechnic, Nayagarh provides hostels for both male and female students. The female faculty is accommodated inside the girl’s hostel to provide convenient access to female students for academic guidance. The hostel fee per annum is INR 3000 (inclusive of electricity, rent, seat, contingency & development)
Laboratories: Well equipped laboratories are available for each department at the institute, these include - physics Lab, chemistry lab, language lab, computer lab, CADD lab, MAT lab, Electronics lab, heat power lab, etc.
Infrastructure: The institute has a functional infrastructure including classrooms, labs, computer centres, barrier-free built environment for disabled and elderly persons.
Extracurricular Activities: There are sports facilities for cricket, badminton, volleyball, kabaddi, indoor games available for students. Apart from sports, other extracurricular activities are debate, drama, song, dance, quiz, drawing, etc.

Ans. The eligibility for taking admission in the 3rd semester is - Pass in 12th science examination from CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent with PCM/ +2 vocational in any engineering trade/ 2 years in ITI in engineering trade with a pass in HSC/10th examination securing 30% marks in each subject.

Ques. I am not from Odisha. Can I still apply for admission in Government Polytechnic Nayagarh?

Ans. Yes, candidates not belonging to Odisha are eligible to apply for admission. 15% of seats are reserved for such candidates. They must fulfil the following conditions-

They must have completed the qualifying examination in an institute having approval from the competent authority
Such candidates have to submit Residential Certificate from the competent authority of their State
