Govt. Polytechnic Kangra Admission

The diploma admission at the college primarily takes place based on PAT (Polytechnic Admission Test) and LEET (Lateral Entry Entrance Test). The online applications have to be submitted for the sake of getting admitted here.

How to Apply

Students should fill up the online PAT form which is released every year by the Himachal Pradesh Government from their official website at www.hptechboard.com.
The admission is done through Centralized Counselling based on the marks of PAT.
For Lateral Admission, candidates are selected based on their merit in LEET (Lateral Entry Entrance Test), for LEET the minimum eligibility is ITI (2 years) or 10+2 Vocational Courses from Government/ State Govt. recognised Colleges.
After the LEET merit is exhausted, the 10+2 candidates of science streams are selected.
During Counselling, the seats get allocated as per the choice and meritorious ranking secured in the entrance.

Govt. Polytechnic Kangra Placements

Every Year around 95% of students get placed in renowned organisations like H.F.C.L., Cadbury, HCL, Cosmo Ferrites, Cipla, (Tata - Teleservices), Anand Group, Purolator, B.C.C. Fuba, Secure Meters Ltd., Shoghi Communication Ltd., and Wockhardt. The salary offers ranges between INR 10 K to INR 15 K per month and in some cases, it is even INR 20,000. Positions such as Technician, Project Manager, Site Inspector, Line Inspector, Supervisor, etc are offered through campus placements.

The Institute provides, library, laboratories as well as medical and sports facilities.

Laboratories- The laboratories contain various machines along with all the equipment necessary for inculcating the practical skills in the minds of the students.
Library- The library has established a facility for E- learning so that it can be beneficial to the students during the emergency times like COVID.
Sports space- Separate grounds for Football, Cricket, Badminton and Volleyball are also available for outdoor sports.
