About Himalayan Institute of Computer Science

Himalayan Institute of Computer Science is a self-financing institute established and promoted by Maa Saraswati Educational Trust. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh Government and is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. It offers Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) programme. The institute is spread in 25 acres and has all necessary facilities like library, a well-equipped computer lab, well ventilated class rooms, a beautiful canteen, lecture halls, seminar hall, separate boys and girls hostel, indoor-outdoor games facility, bus transportation facility.

The institute organizes many workshops on communication and personality development, seminars, group discussions, case studies etc. to enhance student’s knowledge and skills. It has well educated, dedicated and hardworking faculty, which improve the students with knowledge in their specific fields. It also extra-curricular activities like cultural functions, sports activities, Educational and excursion trips etc. for the students.
