About Kalaniketan Polytechnic College

Kalaniketan Polytechnic College, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh was established in the year 1947 as The Kalaniketan Institution with a vision to provide competent human resources in order to fulfill the needs of Industry and Community. In 1993, it merged with Government Polytechnic College, Madhya Pradesh, and was recognized as a college in 2002 by the name of Kalaniketan Polytechnic College. The institute offers Diploma courses in 9 streams across 2 Disciplines. Additionally, it is also providing various certificate courses according to the needs of the Industry.

Kalaniketan Polytechnic College Admissions

The admissions to the Diploma courses of Kalaniketan Polytechnic College are offered under the direction and monitoring of the Directorate of Technical Education, Satpura Bhavan, Bhopal. An entry-level exam State Level Pre-Polytechnic Test (PPT) is conducted by VYAPAM (PEB) for 10th pass students in May-June every year. The complete process of Admission constitutes of 4 processes: -

The counseling/admission procedure contains three rounds:

First Round seat allotment: The first-round allotment is done on the basis of the PPT merit score obtained by candidate.
Second Round seat allotment: The second round of seat allotment is done on the basis of merit-score obtained in the PPT and 10th marks.
CLC Round seat Allotment: The 3rd and last seat allotment are College Level Counselling for those students who weren’t able to secure a seat through both the rounds of seat allotment, are given an opportunity to get a seat through the CLC round, according to the availability of seats.

Scholarships provided to the Diploma Students: -

Tuition Fee- Waiver Scheme: Students who are financially weak, Women, or Physically Handicapped from any background (GEN/OBC/SC/ST). The fees waiver is only limited to Tuition Fees. All other fees have to be paid by the student itself.
Post-Matric Scholarships: This scheme is only offered to scheduled caste (SC), scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Category (OBC) students. The direct benefit of this scheme is that it reduces payment/deposit of fee at the time of admission and thereafter under this scheme can be availed by the students whose parent’s income is less than or up to 2.5* lacs. But such students have to apply for this scholarship in a proper format in due course of time just after the admission process ends.
