Kalna College Admissions 2024

The admissions at Kalna College, West Bengal is based on the merit obtained by the students in either their 10+2 or their undergraduate exams. Aspiring candidates must meet all the eligibility criteria mentioned in the above table. The admission process is entirely online. However fee payment can be done offline as well.

Pay the application fee.
Log into the website using the phone number and DOB.
Fill the application form correctly and select four Honors subjects according to preference.
Make a copy of the application form and the fee payment for the counselling rounds.

Once the application form stage is over, the college puts out a merit list and counseling rounds follow. At the time of counseling rounds, each student must carry the relevant document asked by the college and carry the application form along with the application fee receipt. Based on the merit, the student gets selected in the college.

Kalna College Scholarships

As per the college website, the students that belong to economically backward classes are given some concessions in the tuition fees. To support this initiative, the Students Union also arranges a Student Aids Fund for the students who need financial aid. Moreover, the meritorious students are also entitled to receive government stipends. All these provisions are more of a concession than a scholarship to the student.

Some of the facilities provided by the college include:

Hostel: The campus has separate hostels for girls and boys that are situated on the campus. The rooms in the hostel are very affordable.
Auditorium and Sports facilities: The college has N auditorium to conduct seminars, lectures, and important events.
Sports: The college also has a multipurpose sports ground where Football, Cricket, and Volleyball can be played.
Central Library: The library has an abundant variety of books and journals. The library is also equipped with computers and reading rooms.
NCC and NSS: The college encourages all the students to join the National Cadet Corps under the 54 Battalion. The college has 3 units of NCC, where two are for boys and one for the girls. The college also has a functional National Service Scheme unit for all the students and again they encourage the students to join the unit. The students receive certificates from NCC or NSS which can enhance their extracurricular part in the resume.
