Shah Jarodwala Maninagar Science College (earlier known as Maninagar Science College) aims toprovide education in basic science. The basic objective of the faculty is to develop the scientific temper in students through debates, projects, visits and excursion. It also manages to create an atmosphere of building up an ethical and a moral society for goodwill by inculcating the values of self-discipline, integration, motivation and communication in their students and to provide vocational information to the students regarding employment. There are several co-curricular and extracurricular activities that are encouraged such as computer education, debates, seminars, project work, career guidance, etc. A state level programme on “Developing Volunteers For Disaster Mitigation” with National Environmental Science Academy (New Delhi), is organized in association with by Rashtriya Vigyan Evam Pradyogiki Sanchar Parishad, Department of Science & Technology (Govt. of India) and Gujarat Council on Science & Technology. Blood Donation Camp, Social Program (such as interactions with specially able girls of “Manthan”, an NGO at Hajipur).
