Konark Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) was established in 2001 by Vidya Sagar Charitable Trust. It is the first venture of the Hi-Tech Group of Educational Institutions. The college is located at Jatni in a lush green atmosphere with a sprawling campus of 35 acres. KIST provides quality techno education in a highly disciplined environment at par with international standards. It offers 6 Undergraduate programmes in engineering and technology. It also offers M.Tech and MBA courses.

Library

• Air conditioned library greets the students with about 20,000 volumes,60 journals and many newspapers and magazines

• The central library is the member of INDEST- AICTE Consortium, provide online access to many important e journals about 294 IEEE and ASME

• The central library has license NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) for providing 130 Video courses Of all IIT and IISC professor's teaching of all subjects through LAN

Hostel

• KIST has its 300 seated boy’s hostel and 200 seated girl’s hostel on-campus.
• The hostels are provided internet facilities, TV, Telephone, Refrigerator, Magazines, Newspapers, indoor games and fast-aid facility for the students.
• The hostel also has a common room, library and reading room where the students can interact with each other which is very much essential for professional education

Festivals

Technovation-2011: It is annual tech-fest, KIST organized an inter college robotics football championship which is first ever event in its kind in Orissa.
