Midnapore Medical College & Hospital, earlier known as Midnapur Sadar Hospital, is a tertiary referral government medical college established in 2004. Located in Midnapore, the college is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences. It is recognised by the National Medical Commission and the Medical Council of India. The college is associated with the largest hospitals in the Midnapore district. MMC Midnapore offers an MBBS program at the undergraduate level with a seat intake capacity of 150 seats. The college offers MD and MS for three years at the postgraduate level.
Midnapore Medical College accepts qualifying examinations, such as NEET UG and NEET PG, for applying for MBBS and MD/MS. MMC Midnapore Admission 2024
Admission to the UG and PG courses at MMC Midnapore is done on the basis of the entrance exam scores. To pursue MBBS and MD/MS programs, candidates must qualify in the NEET UG and NEET PG. Eligible candidates are selected to appear for counselling based on their merit in the entrance examination. It accepts the JENPAS UG score for admission to BA Nursing, followed by counselling. Students are offered admission to DMLT, DRD, DOTT, DOpt, DDT and DCCT on the basis of the merit list of the last qualifying examination.
- West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) conducts the counselling for 85% of State Quota Seats.
