The NIHS Kolkata offers a full-time and 4-year duration Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the UG level and a 2-year duration Master of Physiotherapy at the PG level. Under the BPT course, students are taught in small groups, such as practical workshops and tutorial activities. Apart from this, extensive practical training is organized in the institution's clinic, hospital, OPD, and IPD in a variety of settings. Individuals also undergo a 6-month mandatory internship wherein they get to explore clinical branches related to Physiotherapy including Orthopaedics, Cardiopulmonary, Neurology including ICU, Leprosy, Paediatrics, General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Intensive and Critical Care, Sports, etc.
While in the MPT program, subjects like Biomechanic & Pathomechanics, P.T Education practice & Education Technology, Advanced Physiotherapy in Orthopaedics, Geriatric Rehabilitation, PT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Advanced Physiotherapy in Neurology and Cardio-respiratory are taught by faculty.

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to those students who are permanent residents of West Bengal. In addition, they must have been:
- Studying in a Government-West Bengal Board of Council.
- 60% marks in the last qualifying examination.
- The annual family income of the applicant should not be more than INR 2.5 lakhs.
- Renewal happens depending on the academic performance of individuals.
Minority Scholarship (Aikyashree): This scholarship is also granted to students (Muslim, Sikh, Jain, Christians, Buddhists, etc.) who are Domiciles of West Bengal. In addition, they must have secured at least 50% marks in the last exam.
Nabanna Scholarship: Like other scholarships, students who wish to avail of the NS must be native residents of West Bengal. Other requirements are:
- Students must have passed the last examination with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized Board.
- The annual family income of an applicant should not be more than INR 1,20,000.
- Candidates must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarships.
HDFC Bank ECSS Scholarship:
To avail of this scholarship, an applicant must have passed the last qualifying examination with a minimum of 55% marks. Annual family income must be less than or equal to INR 2.5 lakh
NSDL Shiksha Sahayog Scholarship Scheme:
For getting this scholarship, an individual score of 10+2 should be at least 60%. The annual income of the family should not be greater than INR 300000.
