NSS College Nilamel Admissions
Admissions to the college are based on an online centralized allotment process conducted by University of Kerala. Candidates can apply on the University’s official website.
How to apply?
- The first step is to register as a new candidate and provide basic information
- After submitting, a unique application number and password will be provided to do the remaining process.
- The provided application number and the password can be used to login and finish the application process.
- Next, the candidate has to pay the application fees through the online payment method.
- Upload necessary documents such as photograph, signature, marksheets etc
- For UG courses candidates have to make 20 choices of their preferred colleges and courses.
- After verifying all the details in the application form, candidates can submit their form. Candidates are required to take a printout of the application form for future use.
- Pay the application fees. The application fees vary across programs.
NSS College Nilamel Placements
NSS College Nilamel has an active placement cell which ensures the placement of final year students in several private companies. The placement cell organized many seminars, mock interviews, workshops where they invite people who can inspire the students.

NSS College Nilamel Scholarships
The Government of Kerala offers many scholarship schemes to students. The following scholarships offered to the students:
- Higher Education Scholarship: Candidates belonging to the weaker section (Muslims and Christians) who have scored more than 50%aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. The family income should be less than 2 lakhs. The UG candidate will be awarded Rs. 12000 for first year; Rs.18000 for second year; and Rs. 24000 for final year per annum. PG candidates will be awarded Rs.40000 for first year and Rs.60000 for second year.
- Post Metric Scholarship (PMS): The candidates who have scored more than 50% (General Category) and 45% (SC/ST) aggregate marks in Science and 45% (SC/ST 40%) in other subjects will be awarded Rs 3000/- per annum for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child: Single Girl Child who is going to pursue a master's degree is eligible for this scholarship. Such candidates will be awarded Rs 2000/- per month.
- Post Metric Scholarship For Minorities: A candidate who belongs to a minority category is eligible for this scholarship. An eligible candidate must be studying in an Undergraduate course from a College recognized by the Government of Kerala.
- State Merit Scholarship: A candidate who is studying in their first year of an undergraduate course recognized by the government of Kerala with a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination with family income less than 1 lakh will be awarded Rs 1250/- per month.
NSS College Nilamel Facilities
Following are the facilities offered by the institute to cater to the need of the students and the faculty members:
- Library: The library at the present moment is one of the best college libraries in the State of Kerala. The college has a spacious library for the students and staff. Each department has its own library which has Textbooks, Reference books, Journals, and magazines of that specific subject. Services like Open access system, OPAC, question papers, Internet facility, and Reprography are also provided. Librarians are in place at all working hours to provide help to the students. Other written materials such as Handbooks, Reports, Data books, and encyclopedias are also available.
- Digital Classrooms: The college has 3 digital classrooms which are spacious and well-equipped with modern equipment like a computer, multimedia projector, interactive digital board, internet, and LAN connectivity. The teachers can make use of it to teach the students.
- Canteen: A spacious canteen is there on the campus for the comfort of the students and the faculty. The staff makes sure that the food is nutritious in nature and made in a hygienic environment. Seating arrangements are also available.
- Computer Centre: A computer lab is there for students to use for many purposes. Many computers are put in place so that students face no hassle. The students can use the computer labs to do their projects and assignments,
- Sports Facilities: The college gives a lot of importance to overall personality development and encourages the students to participate more in outdoor and indoor games. Many sports tournaments are organized every month
- Transportation: Transportation is provided to students and the faculty on all working days. The bus schedule is followed strictly and the staff is also very professional. Special buses are arranged at the time of exams when students have to travel to different colleges.
