JSGP, Sonepat is India’s first Public Policy School, offering undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses across Economics and Public Policy. JSGP aims to promote inter-disciplinary studies and joint teaching and research programmes in partnership with the schools of Law, Business, International Affairs, Liberal Arts & Humanities. The institute has collaborated with national and international universities and policy think tanks to create a universal learning atmosphere. Some of JSGP’s partner organizations include Afghanistan Public Policy Research Organization (APRRO), Julius Maximilians Universitat Wurzburg in Germany, Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Argentina, Queen Mary University Of London in UK, University Of California, etc. Jindal School of Government and Public Policy is accepting applications for its undergraduate programmes for the academic year 2023 is open.

JSGP’s popular three-year fully residential B.A. (Hons.) in Public Policy programme is a unique and first-of-its-kind interdisciplinary programme in India. The programme offers students exposure to the real-world practices in the world of public policy through internships, collaborations and research projects. Students of Public Policy at JSGP get internship opportunities in national and international organizations like IIM, Deloitte, Delhi Dialogue Commission, Bennett & Coleman, etc. Apart from that, The institute also offers B.A. in economics, MA in Public Policy and MA in economics courses as well as a Ph.D programme in fields like Urban Studies, Public Health, Gender Studies, etc.

For admissions to the JSGP, candidates are required to submit valid SAT/ACT scores along with all the necessary documents. Candidates who have not appeared for ACT or SAT need to take JSAT for admission to JSGP. The selection process of B.A. (Hons.) Economics and B.A. (Hons.) Public Policy involves evaluation based on an applicant’s personal statement, supplementary questions, Class 10+2 scores, faculty interview, and JSAT/SAT/ACT. For admission to PG programme at JSGP, applicants are selected through two rounds based on online Public Policy Entrance Test (PPET) and statement of purpose followed by a personal interview (face to face or Skype). The application fee for the UG degree courses at JSGP is INR 3000 and the application fee for PG courses is INR 1000.

SGP offers a well-rounded education to students and exposes them to the field in both rural and urban contexts and actual institutional settings. JSGP regularly invites academicians, activists, senior officials, politicians, NGO-workers, policymakers from the UN and other international organizations to deliver lectures and interact with students and faculties. JSGP has four research centres to facilitate high-quality research initiatives. The Jindal Journal of Public Policy (JJPP) is the flagship academic publication of the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy.
