About Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College
Smt. Nathiba Hargovandas Lakhmichand Municipal Medical College (NHLMMC) is a Medical College located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The Medical College was established by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in 1963 and is affiliated with the Gujarat University, which became only the second Municipal Corporation in India to establish its own Medical College.
The Institute offers MBBS, Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Diploma in Radiography as Undergraduate courses and M.Ch, DM, MS, MD for Post-Graduation. Admission to all the programs is granted on the basis of NEET.
To apply for admission, the candidates must appear for NEET and based upon the counseling, they will be allotted admission to the institute.
The institute has three affiliated teaching hospitals SVPIMSR Hospital which is the main hospital located within the campus, Smt. S.C.L. Hospital located at a distance of 5 kms Sheth C.H. Nagri Eye Hospital located at a distance of 1 ½ kms. near Gujarat College, to-gether have more than 2200 teaching beds where ample clinical material of all varieties is available in abundance.

Admission to all the programs is granted on the basis of NEET.
- Admission to MBBS will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in NEET-UG.
- Admission to MD/MS and DM/M.Ch. will be granted on the basis of NEET-PG and NEET-SS respectively.

The college is well-equipped with various facilities such as- Lecture Hall, Central Library, Hostel,
MCQ Lab, College Canteen, Indoor Games, Model Center for MEU Activities,Central Research Lab, and etc.
- Library: The college has a well-equipped library with around 24,000 books and Medline link and Internet facilities. More than 100 journals in the print / electronic media are being subscribed to.
- Computer skill Lab for conducting MCQ: The college has a well equipped computer skill lab with 65 computers with the vision of the dean Dr Pankaj Patel to train students for objective system of examination and incorporate computer based teaching –learning methods
- Central Research Laboratory [CRL]: CRL shall cater to the needs of ongoing non-funded research by faculty members as well as the post graduate students in the respective departments.
- Internet: The College has a state of art IT infrastructure. The wifi facility in the campus is available through a well maintained leased line connection. Plans are on anvil to expose the students to Internet surfing by installing computers with telephone connectivity in the students’ gymkhana.
- Hostel: There are separate hostel accommodations for the male and female students. Both the hostel campuses provide a safe environment.

Ques. How NEET PG counselling takes place?
Ans. NEET PG Counselling is being conducted in three rounds viz Round -1 (April 10-June 01), Round -2 (June 03-June 18), and Mop-up round (Final Round). Candidates will be called for counselling as per their ranks (All India Rank, All India 50 % Quota Category Rank, All India 50 % Quota Rank and State Quota Rank).
Ques. Does the hostel facility available?
Ans. Yes, the college provides hostel facilities for boys and girls. The hostels have well-furnished rooms having a seating capacity of 4 boarders in each. Students should apply at the beginning of every academic session (July-August) for hostel accommodation.
