SRI BHARATHI ENGINEERING COLLEGE FOR WOMEN KAIKKURUCHI, PUDUKKOTTAI, The inception of this college is based on the principle of Women Empowerment. The college of engineering for Women further targets aspirants from the rural areas of the district and the adjoining ones in the state, the reason being that the prime thing to bring rural women, out of various difficulties in their social life is Education. Being the first in the region, the college is named after the famous poet and freedom fighter, Bharathiyar, as he fought for women freedom. This college has been started by Sri Bharathi Educational Trust.
