Sri Venkateswara University Directorate of Distance Education was introduced in April 1995 with an objective to provide higher educational opportunities to the people who were deprived of the same earlier. It was initiated by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh and is affiliated to the same. The Directorate does not have any scholarships provided by itself. But the college assists students in gaining scholarships by the Government. Library: There are 2 libraries at the institute, namely DDE Library and the SV University Main Library. Students can issue books from DDE libraries only. However, they can make use of SV University Main Library for reference purposes.
Guidance Cell: The Guidance Cell was established to guide and clarify the distance learners. This cell also guides students to fill up different forms.
Multimedia Lab: The students can make use of the multimedia lab for learning various topics. Internet facilities are also available at the multimedia level.
Working Woman Hostel: There is also a working woman hostel adjacent to the DDE building for accommodation purposes during practical/examinations.
