St Pious Degree College for Women is the result of the efforts of Rev.Fr. Silvio Pasquali. It was his vision to eradicate poverty, social injustice, oppression and ignorance among rural masses. In the year of 1918, the Reverend started his mission in the district of Nalgonda in Andhra Pradesh. This college started up in 1993 with just 90 women students in its fold. The college is situated off the Nacharam Mallapur Road and is well connected in the urban locality of Hyderabad. The College provides undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Commerce, Science and Business Administration. It also provides Post Graduate courses leading to a Masters in Science or Business Administration. It also has vocational and foundation courses to help students who can not avail mainstream education.The college is fully equipped with all modern facilities like library, internet, laboratories, etc. that are required to carry out educational functions of a post graduate college. The college houses a state-of-the-art auditorium to hold seminars and symposia. The faculty of the college is well experienced and well educated. The college provides many opportunities to its women students to develop their character by exposing them to sports and cultural activities and competitions.
