Institute of Hotel Management, Rohtak was set up by the Department of Tourism, Government of Haryana in the year 2012. he Institute started its journey with the intake of 40 students. Due to its quality of education and training, the Institute has grown remarkably and is the largest State Government Institute with the intake of 160 seats in degree course. The college has been ranked in the 40th position by the NIRF 2022. It offers a degree as well as diploma programs in hotel management. Admission is done on the basis of marks secured in previous qualifying examinations. It accepts a valid score in NCHMCT JEE for admission in B.Sc. Last year, the cut off marks for NCHMCT JEE for the General category went up 14652.

IHM Rohtak Admission
State Institute of Hotel Management Rohtak offers admission on the basis of marks secured in the previous qualifying examination. The students will be shortlisted for a personal interview. It is held to analyze candidate’s interactive ability and level of general awareness. Students can download the application form from the official website. Duly filled application form should be sent to Principal along with a fee of INR 400 through Demand Draft drawn in favor of Principal, State Institute of Hotel Management, Rohtak payable at Rohtak.
For admission in SIHM Rohtak, there is an age limit General category and Physically Handicapped candidates should not be more than 25 years of age. Candidates from Scheduled Castes and Backward Castes should not be more than 28 years of age. Age proof will be from the Secondary Education board or Pre University certificate. The candidate also needs to submit a Physical fitness certificate.

- Labs: The labs are spacious, well equipped with latest equipment and apt practical batch size ensures that every student gets opportunity to practice and learn. At IHM Rohtak, we understand that hands on training is very important for the students and it is ensured that each student gets the opportunity and material to practice in every practical class.
- Vibrant Campus: The lush green campus, the architectural beauty and fresh ambiance of the Institute is the dream of every student. The Institute sprawls over 5 acre land with an excellent infrastructure, full of greenery and is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city that encourages the inner peace, which is often necessary and so conducive for learning process.
- Boys’ hostel: The hostel has 93 beds for boys. For the first semester, hostels are allocated based on rank obtained in the JEE examination. For the third, fourth, and fifth semester, previous semester marks, code of conduct and attendance is taken into consideration. For the rest of the outstation students, the institute provides suitable PG guidance.
- Girls’ Hostel: The hostel has 48 beds for girls. The facility for girls is available throughout the course.
- Meals and Mess: The hostel provides meals for students. Breakfast, Lunch, Evening tea and Dinner is provided by the hostel itself.
- Health care: The hostel takes care of any ill health of students. Anyone falling ill is taken to the nearest health clinic or hospital as per the care. The expenses are to be undertaken by the student.

Ques. Is NCHMCT JEE compulsory for taking admissions to IHM Rohtak?
Ans. Appearing for the NCHMCT JEE is compulsory to seek admissions in SIHM Rohtak. When appearing for admission rounds, the rank in the entrance exam would be considered. However, NCHMCT JEE is not required for admissions to the Diploma course and the certificate course.
