SSPU Admission
Admissions at the university vary from course to course. The majority of the courses admit students based on marks obtained in the qualifying exam.
- Admission to all Undergraduate courses if merit-based except for the B.Arch program.
- BArch program admissions are based on NATA/ JEE Main exam scores.
- Admission to all Postgraduate Diploma is merit-based.
- The final list of students who are selected for the admission is released only after the interview round.
How to apply?
Applicants are required to apply online for admission. The application form is available online on the official website. The application form costs INR 1,000 which applicants must pay along with all the necessary documents required for the admission process.
SSPU Placements
The open university offers no direct placements to students but students at SSPU Pune are directed to a 2-month internship (included in the curriculum) in top recruiting companies. The internships are conducted to make students aware of the work environment. Students in the internship period learn a lot which improves their industrial skills and make them industry-ready. The University provides 100 percent placements for all eligible students opting for placement assistance through the University and 100 percent Internships offered to all programs in all batches
The companies which are involved in the internship process are Nyasa, Rayna, TATA Motors, Nichrome, Pantaloons, Reliance, JSW, etc.

Ques. What is the admission process for Lateral Entry applicants of the BTech course at SSPU Pune?
Ans. For lateral entry admissions, the students must have completed Graduation in the relevant discipline of the program. For the BTech admission:
- The students must have passed a Diploma in the relevant field of Engineering with no less than 45% marks.OR
- Must have passed B.Sc with relevant subjects such as Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the First-Year Engineering Program along with the Second Year subjects.

Ans. Yes, SSPU Pune provides hostel accommodation to students on a twin sharing basis. The rooms of the hostel are attached to Bathrooms & Wardrobe.
