The Hindu College, Machilipatnam is located in the heart of the town of Machilipatnam and was established in the year 1928. It was affiliated to the Andhra University but later in 1986, the college received its affiliation to Acharya Nagarjuna University. Currently, the college is affiliated to Krishna University from the year 2010. Students of The Hindu College has secured first position rank in the University for many years. It is known for its academic history of more than 100 years.

• Infrastructure: The Hindu College provides well qualified and experienced faculty and an excellent academic environment. Well equipped computer laboratory, Co-curricular development through Guest Lectures, Seminars, Biometric attendance system which makes easier for students to mark their attendance. • Library: The Hindu College Library contains books of nearly all descriptions literary, scientific, historical, biographical, political, religious, technical and social. It also contains books on fiction, art, painting, music. The Library contains more than 15,000 volumes of the book. Separate space is allocated for students and teachers. 
• Sports: During the year 2014-15, The Games and Sports Executive Committee was formed in the Hindu College. Games like Hockey, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Throw ball, Soft ball, Badminton, Cricket, Volleyball, Boxing, Kick-Boxing get played by students. Students get the chance to showcase their sports talent along with studies.
