Established in 1962, Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM) is one of the oldest autonomous institutes located in Madurai city. The School is affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) and has been conferred autonomous status by the UGC. TSM has also got the candidacy status for Accreditation with ACBSP and ranked Top 100 Management Colleges by NIRF 2023. TSM offers 2 year residential PGDM and MBA programmes affiliated with UGC. TSM Madurai Scholarships
- BC/BT/ Special Groups Scholarships: Sanctiond to the students belonging to the backward community of the society. 50 % to 100% fee waiver is available under this scholarship scheme.
- Physical Handicapped Scholarship: Approved by AICTE for physically disabled students showing 40% or above impairment. It provides INR 30,000/- as tuition fee reimbursement and INR 20,000/- as incidentals each year.
- Merit and Need based scholarships Fee Waiver Scheme to help the economically poor but meritorious students.for their outstanding performance in qualifying entrance exams.The top 10 students who have more than 90% in their entrance exams will be given a scholarship from 50000 to 90000 by the college management.

Ques. What Is The Difference Between TSM PGDM & TSM MBA?
Ans. TSM’s MBA programme is a quality Management Programme at par with those of AICTE approved B-schools across the country. It is approved by AICTE and affiliated to the Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU). TSM’s PGDM programme is a high-end Management Programme benchmarked entirely on the best of B-schools of India . The programme is approved by AICTE and equivalence with MBA is certified by Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Needless to state, the PGDM programme enjoys the same acceptance by industry and academia alike, as the traditional MBA programme. Certain distinguishing features of the PGDM programme are:
- PGDM offers more flexibility in curriculum design and autonomy than MBA
- Larger number of core and elective courses.
- Focus on development of soft and communication skills.
- Three-month summer internship to ensure better employability (2-months for MBA).
- Higher usage of Harvard Business School Cases.
- Outbound leadership and team building programme which costs approx. INR 15,000 per student is free exclusively for PGDM. Alternatively, optional overseas educational tour to Singapore/Dubai /Srilanka for which an extra payment will have to be made by the student.
