Vidya Pratishthan's School of Biotechnology, Baramati was established in 2001. The college was established with the aim is to aid rural development through quality education. The college focus is holistic, on character building through a well rounded range of activities including the curricular, extra-curricular and co-curricular. They feel the need to prepare their students to meet the challenges that globalization poses to them in the new competitive atmosphere in the country and in fact, worldwide. The main objective of the college is to Development of a center for Studies in Bio-diversity, to Development of Human Resource potential in the area of Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and to undertake public awareness programmes to disburse information to the relevant target groups on a regular basis.
