VIT Business School Courses
VITBS Chennai offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a PH.D. in Management. The MBA program of VIT Business School is of 2 years duration and has a trimester pattern with four specializations i.e. Finance, HR, Management, and Information systems. Eligible students may apply for the program.
Eligibility
Applicants with a 3-year Graduate degree, CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ NMAT/ GMAT/ CMAT scorecards, and work experience certificate (if any) are eligible to apply for the MBA program.
For the PH.D. program applicants with 60% in postgraduation are eligible to apply.
Note: Though relevant work experience is not mandatory, applicants with the same will have some advantage.

VIT Business School Admissions
The admission criteria of VITBS includes entrance test, GD, PI, WAT, and good academic record.
- The selection for admission in the MBA program is on the basis of academic record, work experience, entrance score, WAT, and PI as conducted by the institute.
- For Ph.D., the college conducts its own Written test and Personal interview before confirming admission.
Note: Applicants who have cleared CSIR-UGC/JRF are exempted from the written test of the Ph.D. program.

Applicants can apply online as well as offline for the admission. For applying offline, the notice of application is advertised in the local newspapers, other leading newspapers, and websites. For applying online, applicants must visit the official website and fill the application form. Whether its online or offline mode, applicants are required to attach some important documents along with the form. The documents are as follows:
- Mark sheets of 10th, 12th, bachelor’s level, and Master’s level.
- Migration certificates
- Transfer certificates
- Scorecard of entrance exam

VIT Business School Scholarship
Students with CAT/ XAT/ GMAT test scores are given scholarships in the form of tuition fee waiver if they fulfill the given criteria:
- Students with valid CAT / XAT / GMAT score of 95 percentile and above are eligible for full tuition fee waiver
- Students with valid CAT / XAT / GMAT score of 90 percentile and above are eligible for 50% tuition fee waiver
- Students with valid MAT score of above 790 (791 to 800) are eligible for full tuition fee waiver
- Students with valid MAT score in the range of 760 to 790 are eligible for 50% tuition fee waiver
- NMAT score: 345 full fee waiver; 325 - 345 50% fees Waiver
- The two year MBA program consists of six trimesters. Students can choose a range of elective courses from areas such as Finance, Marketing, Human Resources and Operations, Systems and Business Analytics.
