About Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University - [DBATU]

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU) was established by the Government of Maharashtra in 1989. It is situated at Lonere in Raigad district in the state of Maharashtra. DBATU has been recognized by UGC and accredited by NAAC with a “B” grade. Further, it is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities. DBATU campus is spread across 468 acres. At present, DBATU has more than 270 affiliated colleges and 15 residential institutes spread out over its four residential campuses viz. Paliwal Park, Khandari Campus, Civil Lines Campus and Chhaleshar Campus. 

DBATU offers B.E., B.Arch, B.Voc, B.E. Lateral etc at the undergraduate level. At the postgraduate level, it offers MBA, M.Tech, M.Pharm and MCA. DBATU also offers diploma and certificate courses. DBATU B.Tech Admission are done based on JEE-Main / MHT- CET Scores. The university also accepts various national-level entrance exams for admissions to its various programs.

DBATU Admission to B.Tech. and B.Arch. is based on JEE Main/ MHT CET and NATA scores respectively. For M.Tech. and M.Pharm admission at DBATU, a valid GATE and GPAT score is required. Admission to all other courses is based on merit obtained in the qualifying exam. 

How to Apply for DBATU Admission?

To apply for the desired course, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • Candidates need to visit the institution's official web portal 
  • Interested candidates should fill out the application form. 
  • Candidates should register for the specific entrances too if applicable. 
  • Candidates also need to pay the application fees of INR 800/ (INR 400/- for reserved category candidates) in online mode at SBI Collect Gateway. 
  • The scanned copy of this payment receipt obtained from the SBI portal must be uploaded as proof of payment. 
  • Payment by Cash or Cheque or DD will not be accepted in any circumstances. 
  • Submit the application and qualify the concerned entrance to seal the admission. 

DBATU Placements 2024

DBATU has a Training and Placement Cell to ensure all its students are placed with good organisations. The university has not released the official placement report for 2023-24. DBATU Scholarships 2024

The following scholarship schemes are available to DBATU students: 

  • Scholarships for meritorious students- The institution offers scholarships to students with exceptional academic performance and grants tuition fee waivers to them. 
  • Scholarships to students with economically weaker backgrounds- These Scholarships are provided to students of backward classes, SC/ST categories or low-income groups (less than INR 2 Lakh per annum).

  • University library- Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University has a huge library that helps students and faculty to explore the latest information in their field of interest. It has a large collection of 76291 titles and contains 76 subscribed journals.
  • Computer Centre- The university has about 100 PCs in the computer centre. There is a high-speed internet facility at a speed of 2 Mbps facilities to many PCs in the centre. 
  • Conference Hall- The university has various AC conference halls which can accommodate more than 100 students.
  • Guest House- There is a guest house named ‘Anandvan’ in the university. This guest house located is at the centre of the university. It has 2 VIP suits, 3 AC suites, and 17 ordinary suites.
  • Edusat- Edusat is used for conducting workshops, lectures, and seminars at the University. It can accommodate more than 100 students.
