Dr. Sau Kamaltai Gawai Institute of Engineering and Technology (KGEIT), Darapur was established in 2008 under Shri Dadasaheb Gawai Charitable Trust. It is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education and recognised by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. The mission of the institute is to see that its students and staff are equipped and empowered to contribute in Nation building process and development of society at large. It is located at Darapur in Amravati district of Maharashtra, India.

Computer Lab	The computer lab has 400 computer which are well equipped with latest tools and techniques.
Library	The library of the institute spread over an area of 420 sq. mtrs. and has a reading room with seating capacity of 120 students. It has collection of about 2672 titles. 1002 reference and 11851 volumes of books. It subscribes to 42 national and 20 international journals. It has 555 audio visual CD’s.
Hostel	Available for both boys and girls separately with accommodation capacity of 125 male students and 25 female students.
