Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University - [CSJMU]

Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU or CSJM University), formerly known as Kanpur University, is recognised by the UGC. CSJMU is accredited with a ‘A++’ grade by the NAAC. CSJM University has 952 affiliated colleges and a campus of 264 acres. CSJMU offers more than 400 UG and PG courses in the disciplines of Art, Science, Commerce, Law, Engineering, and Medicine at its affiliated colleges. Currently, CSJMU has 2 constituent colleges: Shri Vishambhar Dayal Tripathi Rajkiya Mahavidyalaya and Rajkiya Mahavidyalaya. 

CSJMU offers UG, PG, Diploma, PG-Diploma, Certificate and PhD courses in the disciplines of Social Science, Arts, Science, Management, Medicine etc. Admission to all the programs are based on Academic Merits or the Entrance exam conducted by CSJMU. However, for BTech, MBBS, B.Ed and MBA courses, the university also accepts scores of national level exams such as JEE Mains, NEET, UP BEd JEE, and CAT. Applicants also have to undergo the counseling process conducted by the University for admission. The admission process for CSJMU is conducted online. 

CSJUMU Plcament 2024 Report has not been released yet. CSJMU Admission 2024

CSJMU Application Process 2024

• Step 1: Visit CSJMU official website and click on the registration link. Then, click on the New Registration Tab.
• Step 2: Carefully read all the instructions provided, accept the declaration and Click on Proceed button. After that, either Select entrance for the course or select admission without entrance exam.
• Step 3: Fill the form carefully by providing all the required details. This will generate OTP on your registered Mobile no. and fill in the OTP on the admission form.
• Step 4: Check all the details in the admission form preview carefully. Click on verify while checking each detail provided. Applicants can edit their details before submitting, no changes can be made after submission. 
• Step 5: Click on Submit. You will receive a registration no. and password through email and registered mobile no. Save it for future use.
• Step 6: Now complete the remaining steps of the registration process. Fill in the academic details of the Last completed qualification.If the Applicant chooses Without Entrance Admission. He/she will be required to choose a course preference.
• Step 7: Select desired district and college. Proceed after confirming your selections. Upload Photo and Signature
• Step 8: Pay the Registration fee and take the printout of the registration form.

CSJMU Registration 2024

To register for admissions at CSJMU Merit-based direct admissions, the following steps need to be followed during registration.

• Step 1: Visit admission.csjmu.ac.in/WRNRegistration/Registration
• Step 2: Fill out all the mandatory details.
• Step 3: Provide a working Email ID and Mobile Number.
• Step 4: Select your category.
• Step 5: Under Mode of Admission, choose “Direct”.
• Step 6: Now click on “I accept the above terms and conditions”.
• Step 7: An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile no. and Email.
• Step 8: Verify your email and mobile no. using OTP.
• Step 9: Now, You will receive a registration no. and password through email and registered mobile no. Save it for future use. Login Using the credentials sent to your email id and complete the application process, remaining steps for the application will be the same as mentioned above.

CSJMU Result

CSJM conducts semester exams usually in the month of April/May every year. Results for the same are announced in the second week of June. CSJMU also provides the option of revaluation of answer keys. Students who are not satisfied with the marks obtained in the exam can apply for the revaluation process by paying the required fees. CSJMU results can be checked and downloaded by visiting the official website of the university.

Life at CSJMU

CSJMU excels in providing its students and teachers every facility that is needed for their personal and professional growth. Facilities like Students Welfare center, Clubs, Career counseling and guidance, Hostel, etc. Have made life of students active, fun and easy. Some of the facilities of CSJMU has been listed below:

• Campus: The campus is spread across 264 acres. The residential wing of the campus includes faculties of Life Sciences, Business Management, Education, and English. There is a separate hostel, academic and administrative blocks. A spacious canteen runs on the CSJMU campus for supplying hygienic food at an affordable rate to the students and the staff.
• Hostel: CSJMU provides a boys hostel with a capacity of 400 inmates and girls’ hostels with a total capacity of 500 inmates. All the hostels have mess facilities at moderate rates, 24-hour power supply, common hall, TV room, reading rooms, telephone, recreational and sports facilities with a tight security system. The students are allowed to use their computers in the rooms. 
• Library: CSJMU library has its computer subnet with the most modern Cat-6 network technology. It is connected with the campus LAN using an optical fiber network. The library automation is being done using SOUL Software. So far it has completed its database of about 60,000 books, 3000 theses, which are available online through its web OPAC. It also has an Online access facility to about 20,000 full-text journals and about 5000 full-text books on its University LAN.
• Sports Facilities/ Outdoor Games: A huge stadium has been constructed on the CSJMU campus. It is used for sports activities like, 400-meter race, hammer throw, long jump, high jump, cricket tournament, football, hockey, basketball, handball, volleyball, tennis, kabaddi, kho-kho, etc. The stadium is open for sports activities for students, teachers, officers, and employees of the University and students of affiliated colleges of the University.
• Cafeteria: The CSJMU cafeteria has a lot of goodies to offer at affordable prices. Open 6 days a week, the cafeteria is a place where students celebrate their birthday and give treats. 

CSJMU Scholarships

To provide students with greater access to education, CSJMU Kanpur provides scholarships and fee concessions. The institution wants to make sure that students from less affluent backgrounds can benefit from their high-quality education. The CSJMU scholarship is awarded based on the academic achievement of the applicants as well as their financial situations and yearly family income. The university provides a number of scholarships, the details of which are listed below:

• Mean Based Scholarships: The institution provides financial aid for students from economically disadvantaged groups or backgrounds. The university waives 25% to 50% of all of these applicants' tuition fees. Students must submit an income certificate that has been authorized by the Tehsildar or Magistrate of the relevant areas in order to apply for this scholarship.
• Merit-Based Scholarships: Students who pass their qualifying test with an overall score of 60% or who have a CPI of 6.5 or higher out of 10 are eligible to apply for this scholarship. After all data and certificates have been verified, the Scholarship Committee will decide on the CSJMU scholarship 2024 status.
