Faculty of Law, University of Calcutta was established in the year 1909 with the purpose of being a body of the university that is dedicated solely to the study of law. It offers higher education in the field of law and functions under the University of Calcutta. It has been given recognition by UGC and is affiliated to the Bar Council of India (BCI). Candidates from a board other than ISC, CBSE, WBCHSE, NIOS, Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya must obtain "Equivalence Certificate" from the office of the Registrar University of Calcutta. A written application in plain paper with a relevant photocopy of 10+2 Mark Sheet must be submitted for the same.

The conducting body will release the result of Calcutta University BA LLB 2020 in online mode. Candidates will be able to check their results by logging into their registered account.
