It is a self-financed institute established in the year 1998, and functions under Jind Educational Trust. The institute is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and approved by the Ministry of HRD. JIET is also approved by AICTE, New Delhi. JIET offers a wide range of undergraduate courses to students who have completed their 10+2. B.Tech, BCA and BBA are the courses offered under UG along with a diploma in engineering. The institute also offers M.Tech with two specializations.
