LMTSM Admission 2024

Candidates are required to apply online for MBA admission. Applicants will be shortlisted based on the overall academic performance and test scores available at the time of application. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an in-person assessment and interview. 

Following are the various components for admission to LMTSM flagship MBA Admission:

1. Professional Readiness: The profile readiness component of MBA selection comprises two parts:

Video Statement of Purpose – A short video not exceeding 03 minutes and preferably in MP4 format should be, submitted before the interview, describing the following points:

1. Your motivation to pursue an MBA
2. What is unique about you as a person?

Interview – A personal interaction with the admissions panel, where the applicant is assessed for the overall fit.

2. Academic Readiness: For admission to LMTSM MBA Programme, the academic readiness comprises two parts:

Quant & Verbal Aptitude Test – To be assessed on the basis of the applicant’s valid CAT/ XAT/ NMAT by GMAC/ GRE/ GMAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ SNAP score. In absence of any of the above-mentioned tests, students must appear for the Thapar Management Aptitude Test of 60 mins in duration, on the day of the interview. 

Non-verbal Aptitude Test – A 40-minute test on non-verbal reasoning, conducted on the day of the interview, and is mandatory for all applicants.

3. Academic History: It comprises three parts:

• Class 10 Performance
• Class 12 Performance
• Bachelor’s Degree Performance

Final admission at LMTSM is offered based on Professional Readiness, Academic Readiness, and Academic History, respectively. The following are the weight criteria decided by the institute for the above-mentioned components:

LMTSM Global Immersion Program

The LMTSM Flagship MBA Program involves a curriculum that helps students assess business through an international scope. The Summer Internships abroad provide a unique opportunity for students to avail of required global exposure. The Global Immersion Program at LMTSM offers unique firsthand business and cross-cultural experiences with the host country. The participants undergo consulting and research projects which provide them with a strong insight on applying classroom theories to real-world business problems.

LMTSM Faculty

LMTSM Faculty includes mainly academicians with PhDs from renowned universities and is armed with extensive Industry experience and detailed knowledge of business concepts and practices. As of now, there are 36 faculty and all of them are with PhD qualifications. The current student-to-faculty ratio at LNTSM is 12:1.
