Falakata College

Falakata College was founded on September 19th, 1981. Since then, it has remained one of the most important colleges in North Bengal, both in terms of education and sports. It offers both BA Hons and general programs in various specializations. Admission is made strictly based on merit and as per procedure laid down by the Admission Committee of the college. Students passing H.S. (10+2) Examination from WBCHSE or other Recognised Boards Provided he/she has passed with at least Four subjects with English as a Compulsory subject, excluding Environmental studies/Science/Education are eligible to get application forms from the college website.

• The College has a large library with nearly 9,000 books, in 18811, on various subjects, as well as several local, national, and international journals. Students are given a Library card for use in the Library's Reading Room as well as a Borrower Card, which allows them to borrow books. These cards are non-transferable and must be returned after the session.
• The faculty members are well-educated in their respective fields. Having an average of 15-20 years of experience.
