Government Arts College, Salem Established in the year 1979, is affiliated to Periyar University. The only Government College in the entire district of Salem, the college has earned a high repute for itself since its establishment. The objective of the college is to provide quality higher education, especially to the women from under-privileged backgrounds. The college has been instilling a sense of hope and confidence among the women by motivating them to pursue academics.
