Hitkarini Mahila Mahavidyalaya, one of the oldest college in the region, aspires to provide quality higher education to girls. The college comprises of classes up to post graduation level. It offers bachelors degree in all the three streams, i.e. Arts, Commerce and Science. Apart from bachelors degree it also offers post graduation degree in Economics, Political Science, Hindi, Sociology and Literature. With passing years the college has more and more knowledge to offer to the youth and help them cultivate into efficient and responsible professionals.

1. Academic training with practical approach: In order to give a practical touch to academics, the institute conducts practical sessions for students wherein students are made to visit places relevant to their field of specialization. Hence, Commerce students are taken to financial institutions like banks and finance companies, to give them an understanding on the working of the company. Students studying bi-sciences are taken to areas having rich flora and Fauna. Political students have their share of practical knowledge by visiting to High Court, District Court and other local administrative as well as legal offices.  Students specializing in psychology are made aware about their work field and the challenges they would have to face ahead in their career, by taking them to mental hospitals, homes for physically as well as mentally challenged, jail, etc.

2. Project Work and Research Activities: The College lays a lot of emphasis on the research and project works, especially at the post graduation level.
