I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) Mohali, formerly known as Punjab Technical University (PTU), was established to promote technical, management and pharmaceutical education in the state at degree level and above. At present University has 121 AICTE and 65 UGC institutes affiliated with it, with lakhs of students including 1500+ international students from 30+ countries. IKGPTU has 9 different campuses located across all over Punjab at Jalandhar, Mohali, Kapurthala, Amritsar, Batala, Bhikhiwind, Sultanpur Campus, Dinanagar and Sultanpur.

PTU Admissions
Candidates seeking admission must apply online through the official website to take part in the admission process. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the Entrance Examination. The provisional and final merit list will be displayed on its official website. Applicants will be called for the counseling process as per the merit list.
- Seat Allotment will be entirely based on the merit list and availability of seats.
- After seat allotment, candidates will have to report to the college for document verification and payment of Academic fees.
- Admissions to all the courses are carried out strictly on the merit of entrance test basis either through Centralized Counselling Procedure or through Institute level.
Application Procedure
- Visit the official website of Punjab Technical University.
- Register as a new user and login with email id and password.
- After that, candidates will have to confirm the application form at the facilitation center.
- The provisional and final merit list will be displayed on its official website.
- In case of discrepancies, candidates can submit grievances during the display of provisional list at the facilitation center.
- Candidates have to log in to fill and confirm online option form with preferences of colleges and courses.
- CAP is conducted in 3 rounds and once college is allotted, candidates have to report to the allotted institute to confirm the admission.

3. Departments shall work and co-ordinate with Alumni to provide funds so as to start more scholarships as per practice in other Universities.
PTU Hostel
