The Maharaja Institute of Technology is an institute under Maharaja Education Trust in the field of science and engineering technology. The College is equipped with all modern learning aids to make teaching-learning process a pleasure. The highly qualified staff is its asset. The college has to its credit the highest number of admissions in the academic year 2007-08 among the 16 newly opened engineering colleges in Karnataka.

Facilities:

Library- The library has a collection of 28000 volumes and total number of titles about 2264. It has 21 print journals, 9 magazines and 16 newspapers. The digital library has 1774 CDs& DVDs, 76 project report and 25 computers. It also has a reading room with the capacity of 125 students at a time.

Computer Lab- The computer lab has 160 PCs of all department with core2 duo/Dual core processor and with Linux/window XP operating systems. The lab has all basic and necessary software for projects.

Hostel- The Institute has separate hostel for boys and girls. The hostel room is available in 3 seater.

Sports- Institute has the facility for all indoor and outdoor games like- Kho-Kho, Badminton, swimming, Basketball, Cricket, Throw ball and football etc.

Club:

Mech. Club- This club conduct the activities like- CATIA course, CFEM course, CROBOTICS course and CTool design course at GT & TC. A special MECH DAY will be held on every year in the month on MAY where there is an OATH taking ceremony for all the passing out engineers of the department, which is held only in & only for MECHISMOS.

Civil Club- It organize the various club like Invocation, Welcoming all Dignitaries, Felicitation etc.
