MES College Admission

Admission to courses in MES College Marampally is done on the basis of merit, followed by a personal interview. The admissions are conducted as per MG University rules in force. MG University conducts a Central Allotment Process (CAP) online.

Admission to BSc, BA, B.Com, BBA, and BCA program is given through a single-window system of MES University i.e. Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) under Merit Quota. Shortlisted eligible candidates are called for the interview round and qualified candidates are given admission to the course.

Candidates who are seeking admission to MSc, MA, M.Com and MHRM program are given on the basis of the candidate’s merit in the qualifying examination and performance in the interview round conducted by MES College. The college grants admission to the eligible candidates under Merit, Community, and Management Quota.

How to apply?

The process to apply for admission in MES College is:

Candidates must visit the M.G University website for registration.
Create an account with your plus two registration number, mobile number, and email id.
After paying online, fill in the application form with personal details, academic eligibility, and the options correctly, mentioning MES College among the 40 options, and then press the final submission button.

The students eligible for admission will be called for an interview. This does not guarantee admission. Carry the intimation card along for the interview. After admission is secured, the student will be enrolled in paying the fees for the entire semester.

MES College Facilities

The facilities include:

Auditorium: The large and spacious college auditorium is designed to accommodate 2000 students comfortably. The auditorium is used for large gatherings and events like award ceremonies, inaugurations, assemblies, etc. In addition to this auditorium, there is also a seminar hall and a conference hall.
Hostel: Hostel facility is available for both boys and girls on the campus. Presently the girl’s hostel can accommodate 300 students and the boy’s hostel has a capacity of 40. The college has availed UGC assistance for setting up the hostel facility.
Laboratories: There are 14 separate laboratories in this college.
Library: The library was established in 1994 at the very inception of the Institution, with an area of 8000 sq. feet. It houses more than 15000 books and subscribes to more than 100 journals and magazines.
Other: 2D/ 3D animation labs, funded research projects for students, hygienic and well-maintained canteen, productive and dynamic.

Conclusion

The college is certainly a pioneering one, with an excellent set of faculty. The placement cell works hard to get placements for all the students. The courses are also relatively less expensive in comparison to most colleges. However, this college is not as well-known as most of the top institutions.

Ques. Are there any reservations or quotas?

Ans. Yes, 50% of the seats are reserved for SC/ ST/ SEBC categories. The seats under community quota are earmarked for students of the Muslim community and seats are filled on the basis of merit. Candidates who seek admission under the community quota should directly apply to the college along with CAP registration acknowledgment. However, no community quota is earmarked for self-financing programs.

20% of seats of aided programs and 50% of seats of self-financing programs are earmarked for management quota.

Ans. There are many student clubs and cells. The clubs include Nature Club, Leo Club, Parliamentary Affairs Club, Quiz Club, Red Ribbon Club, Fine Arts, and Literary Club, and Films and Photography Club. The cells include Women’s Cell, Anti-ragging cells, Career Guidance, and Placement Cell, Grievance Redressal, Equal Opportunity Cell, OBC Cell, Minority Cell, SC/ST Cell, Anti Sexual Harassment Cell, and Anti Drug Cell.

Ques. Is there a Student Union at MES College?

Ans. Yes, all the students of M.E.S. College, Marampally are ordinary members of the College Union and the members of the teaching staff are its honorary members. The Principal shall be the Hon.
