The Institute pays equal emphasis over the scholarships for both Financial Needs and Merit Cum Mean Scholarship. Given below are the scholarship provided by the Institute.
- SARTHAK: Sarthak is a Financial Assistant Scheme for those Meritorious Students who came from the economically weaker section. Sarthak works up to 75% of fee relaxation for eligible students.
- UDAAN: Udaan is a MEANS – CUM - MERIT SCHEME FOR FOREIGN STUDIES, works for the relaxation cost for those Nift students who wish to continue their student exchange program with the Partnering Institute / University with gifts.
How do you avail of these scholarships?
- Aspiring students have to collect and fill up the scholarship form from the office of the Campus Director.
- Along with the form students additionally need to submit an undersign stating the truthfulness of the documents submitting.
- In the required documents students need to present academic as well as personal mark sheets/documents belonging to them.
- After the submission of the provided documents, the candidates will be called for screening by the scrutiny members along with an interview with the directorial committee.
- In keeping view of all the parameters the team will grant the scholarships to the deserving students from the next semester as follows.

Ans. The Application Fees for the NIFT Entrance Test ( GAT - CAT / GAT ) is INR 3000 for UR/OBC candidates whereas INR 1500 for SC / ST / PwD candidates.
Ques. Does NIFT Kangra have an accommodation facility?
Ans. Yes, NIFT Kangra does have student accommodation, but it is limited only to female students.

Ans. The nearest Airport Of Kangra Campus is Gagal Airport, which can be used by the students coming from Pan India. Apart from that one can use the railway station nearby to it which is in Pathankot and is approx 90 KM away from the Campus.

Ans. Yes, the campus has well-established canteens and mess facilities which can be used by the residents out there. The mess fee for the 22 Days a month is INR 1474 and for the whole month, it is INR 2010.
Ques. Between NIFT Kangra and NIFT Patna which is a better option?
Ans. Even after starting its pilot batch in the same year, NIFT Patna is emerging rapidly than NIFT Kangra day after day. Both the campus has a lavish campus yet Patna Campus is offering both Under graduate as well as Post Graduate Courses, while Kangra campus is limited to UG Programs only. While NIFT Kangra students have to rely upon central NIFT Placements, NIFT Patna has established its own placement committee and is working smoothly to place it’s in-house students right in the first place. So overall NIFT Patna is a better option than NIFT Kangra.
