- Admission in both the first year (regular entry) and the second year (lateral entry) is based upon merit marks scored in the exams of VOCLET & JEXPO which is conducted by The West Bengal State of Technical Education.

RGP Placements
The college has a Training & Placement Cell. During the final year of the diploma courses, students are provided with jobs in industries and other organizations through the Training and Placement sector of the College.
RGP Scholarships
Saksham Scholarship Scheme for specially Able Students by AICTE-
- This scholarship aims at providing an average amount of INR 50,000 every year of study to the student who has a disability of not less than 40%
- The specially abled student candidate must also have a family income that is less than or equal to INR 8 Lakhs from all the sources.
- A valid income certificate by State or UT Government needs to be presented for the same.
Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students-
- A scholarship worth INR 50,000 is provided per annum to a family that consists of a maximum of two girl Childs
- Family income of such candidate must be less than or equal to INR 8 Lakhs per annum.
- A valid income certificate by State or UT Government needs to be presented for the same.
