The basic eligibility for admissions to all courses provided by the institute is 10+2. The selection criteria or the shortlisting of candidates is done on the basis of merit from their last qualifying examination. BA Honors course has a total intake of 349 seats whereas BA General course has a total intake of 200 seats. Similarly, total intake of B.Sc general and B.Sc Honors is 120 and 325 respectively. For B.Com General and B.Com Honors, total seat intake is 60 and 164 respectively.

Sammilani Mahavidyalaya has a placement cell which is known to provide students with necessary guidance and grooming sessions to excel at developing skills required during an interview by the experts. They are also known to organise various seminars, talks and lectures for the betterment of students and to impart them the necessary skills required for the job market. The college has a UGC sponsored Career Counseling Cell that organises campus placement recruitments every year for the 3rd year passing out students. Companies from the IT sector such as WIPRO and Real Estate Groups reach out to the college campus to provide placement opportunities to the students. The average package varies as per different companies and students get job opportunities in both public and private sectors. Right after their Bachelor’s degree students are eligible to sit for these job interviews and the college also has a good record of its students getting recruited in different companies.

Students coming out to the college who are economically backward but have the capability are given free studentship as per the rules set by the Government of India. The College also runs a program for girls namely ‘Kanya-Shree Prakalpa Program’ to bring out improved outcomes in their education by providing them with monthly or yearly stipend.
