Duration: 4 years
Eligibility: Minimum 50% in mathematics and minimum 50% aggregate for mathematics, physics, and chemistry in 12th standard. For SC/ST- Pass in 12th standard.
Selection: 50% on the basis of Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Govt. of Kerala, and the rest 50% are reserved seats for management/NRI.
M.Tech. Subjects: Electronics Embedded Systems, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical & Electronics
Duration: 2 years
Eligibility: Completed graduation in engineering/technology from any recognized university with aggregate 60% marks minimum.
Selection: 50% on the basis of Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Govt. of Kerala, and the rest 50% are reserved seats for management/NRI.

Sree Buddha College of Engineering Scholarship

Scholarships are offered to the meritorious students on a merit basis. If secured GPA 8 or above and also, if they belong to the lower-income group, then they are eligible for the scholarship.

Sree Buddha College of Engineering Facilities

The following facilities have been created for the students to help them get proper assistance during their education years:

  • Central Library: The library is a three-storied building situated in the main campus spread over 1500 sq.m. It is fully air-conditioned. It is designed with the motive of providing educational assistance to students, faculty, and other staff members. It has a collection of books, journals, research papers, e-books, international journals, etc for reference purposes and to cater to the needs of the students.
  • Hostel: Separate hostel buildings for boys and girls is provided by the college with all basic amenities. The hostels are spacious and have mess halls. Both the hostels have a carrying capacity of 300 hostelers each. Separate facilities for studying are also provided.
  • Canteen: A neat and clean canteen is there on the college campus run by the college management which is spacious enough and offers a variety of snacks, refreshments, and food items to the students and staff at reasonable prices. Also, a searing facility for students and staff is provided.
  • Other Facilities: Various other facilities are provided by the college such as basketball court, gymnasium, playground, solar power plant for eco-friendly measures.

Ans. Actually, SBCE has collaborated with NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) in 2015. NPTEL is a platform that offers multiple online courses for students and recorded lectures are provided for the same. This is an initiative of IITs and is funded by MHRD. So, one can pursue these NPTEL listed courses via online lectures but for B.Tech. or M.Tech., no such arrangements are there.

Ques. What does the "Training" word mention under the Placement section means?

Ans. Training means helping and guiding students to successfully place them in their desired companies. This training includes preplacement talk sessions, seminars, written tests, group discussions, and interviews. Practicing all of this helps the candidate to clear the company's selection exams and interviews.

Ans. Yes, the bus facility is provided by the college for day scholars. A minimum of 8 buses are arranged for different routes and more can be arranged as per the requirement. The timings are scheduled by the bus secretary.
