About Tech Mahindra SMART Academy for Healthcare

SMART Academy for Healthcare, Pune is a newly launched initiative of Tech Mahindra Foundation Foundation to train youth to become allied healthcare professionals. This is the 4^th SMART Academy in the Allied Healthcare and Paramedics field and 8^th SMART Academy in India. This project is being done in collaboration with the Salesian Sisters.

In addition to providing youth with training in paramedical diploma programs like medical laboratory technology and dialysis technician, the SMART Healthcare Academy Pune offers a variety of allied healthcare certificate courses, including General Duty Assistant (GDA), Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Sales Representative, Radiology Technician, Nursing Care, Hospital Hygiene Assistant, and Post-Graduate Certificate course in Hospital Front Office and Billing Executive. These courses are certified by the Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC). Admission to this institute is done based on the candidate’s performance in the qualifying exam.

This institute which occupies 7516 square feet and is situated in Pune's Mundhwa neighborhood is equipped with seven modern labs and classrooms. The Pune Academy consists of hospital-simulated labs, industry-relevant study material and experienced faculty to help young women make a career in the noble healthcare sector. Scholarships at Tech Mahindra SMART Academy for Healthcare are classified under three categories – Health Care Scholarships, Logistics Scholarships & Digital Technology Scholarships. Scholarship for students from priority States/UT (Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, North Eastern States, Himachal Pradesh)	Applicable only for healthcare courses above or equivalent to 1-year duration. Upto 80% of the total fee will be waived off and complete Hostel Fees will be waived off.
Merit Scholarships	a. For all Diploma courses in Healthcare – Upto 50% of the tuition fee will be waived off on achieving above 90% marks in the Annual Exam and 90% attendance in the first year of Diploma courses. b. For all One-year courses in Healthcare – Upto 50% of the tuition fee will be waived off on achieving above 90% marks in the Half-yearly Exam and 90% attendance in H1 in one-year courses.
Scholarship for Cancer Survivors and Dependents of Cancer Victims/Survivors	Applicable only for healthcare courses – As per the scholarship, upto 100% of the total fee will be waived off.
