Tezpur College

Tezpur College, Tezpur, Assam is one of the oldest educational institutes in Assam that has come forward with the initiative to expand their horizons and provide for educational curriculum beyond the traditional set-up. The College initially faced infrastructure difficulties but with over a span of 50 years the college has developed with leaps and bounds and is now spread across acres of land. The College provides for bachelors, master, philosophy and doctoral programs in arts, commerce, Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo, Geography, travel and tourism, economics, music, computer applications and political science.

1. Ragging Free Campus:

Tezpur College is one of the ragging free campuses and has dedicated anti-ragging cell headed by the Principal, Dr. Charu Saharia Nath along with 11 other eminent faculty member that supervise and govern the activities of the students to ensure the campus is ragging free.

2. Career Counseling Cell:

Tezpur College came up with the career counseling cells to fill up the gap created by the social-economic cultural differences and hence guides the students for future career opportunities. The Cell functions on the guidelines issued by University Grants Commission in the same aspect and is headed by associate professor Mr. Dipam Saikia.

3. Scouts and Guides:

Tezpur College has a separate wing dedicated to the scouts and guides along with a National Social Service cell that works for community development program under the College.
