About BIT Institute of Technology

BIT Institute of Technology (BITIT), Anantapur was established in 2001 under Sri Venkateswara Educational Society. It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Anantapur. The college is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The objective of the institution is to provide technical education to rural mass and it is the only engineering college in the Hindupur mandal. The vision of the college is to impart excellence in Engineering education, to meet the corporate, R & D, service, industries, technological requirements matching with global standards. The mission is to develop the college with dedicated effort and commitment to provide Engineering Education, Training, Research & Development and Consultancy. It is situated at a distance of 100 kilometers from the Silicon valley of India, Bangalore and 14 kilometers from Lepakshi. The biggest advantage is its proximity to Bangalore international Airport Devanahalli (80 km).
